Our Services

Home Care

Home care is friendly, practical help that lets you carry on living the way you like. Our carers visit at times that suits you, from a short check-in to several visits a day.

What it can include:

  • Preparing meals and drinks, and helping you eat well
  • Shopping and collecting what you need
  • Light household tasks, such as washing up, laundry and changing the bed
  • Help getting up, going to bed and settling for the night
  • Company, conversation and trips out
  • Letting your family know, with your agreement, if anything changes

How it works: after a free assessment, we agree the days, times and tasks with you, then introduce your regular carers. If your needs change, so do the visits.

Personal care

Personal care is help with the most private everyday tasks, given discreetly, patiently and with respect for your dignity and your choices. You set the pace, and we follow your preferences.

What it can include:

  • Washing, bathing and showering
  • Dressing and getting ready for the day
  • Toilet and continence support
  • Grooming, such as hair care, shaving and mouth care
  • Help moving safely around your home
  • Help with eating and drinking

Our approach: we do our best to match you with carers you feel comfortable with, including a carer of your preferred gender where we can. Our carers are trained and DBS checked before they visit.

Cleaning

A clean, tidy home is better for your health and your spirits. Our cleaning service keeps your home fresh and comfortable, so you can spend your energy on what matters to you.

What it can include:

  • Dusting, vacuuming and mopping
  • Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
  • Changing and washing bedding, plus laundry and ironing
  • Tidying and clearing clutter to keep floors and walkways safe
  • Regular weekly or fortnightly visits, or a one-off deep clean.

Who it suits: older people, people with limited mobility, people coming home after a hospital stay, and families who look after a relative and need an extra pair of hands.

How it works: we agree a checklist and a schedule with you, and we aim to send the same cleaner each time.

Live-In Care

With live-in care, a carer lives in your home and supports you day and night. You stay surrounded by your own things, your routines and your neighbourhood, and you don’t have to think about moving.

What it can include:

  • Everything in our home care and personal care services
  • Company and reassurance throughout the day
  • Support at night, where it’s agreed in your care plan
  • Meals prepared the way you like them
  • Keeping the home running smoothly
  • Going with you to appointments and outings

Who it suits: people who want to stay at home rather than move into a care home, couples who want to stay together, and families who want constant reassurance.

How it works: before a carer moves in, we agree their room, your daily routine and any house rules with you. We arrange regular breaks and cover so you are never left without support.

Companionship

Good company makes everyday life brighter. Our companionship service is about spending time with you: enjoying a chat, sharing a hobby or getting out of the house. Whether you live alone or simply want a friendly face, we’ll make your visits something to look forward to.

What it can include

  • Conversation, a cup of tea and time to catch up
  • Hobbies and interests, such as games, puzzles, reading aloud, gardening, crafts or music
  • Trips out, such as walks, shopping, visiting friends or family, a café or a place of worship
  • Going with you to appointments and helping you get there and back
  • Help with letters, phone calls and keeping in touch with loved ones, including video calls
  • Light meal preparation and sharing a meal together
  • Reminders about your day, so you never miss what matters to you
  • Letting your family know, with your agreement, how you are getting on

Who it suits

  • People who live alone and would like regular company
  • People who feel isolated or have lost confidence going out
  • People who are recovering and don’t want to be on their own
  • Family carers who would like a few hours to rest, knowing their loved one is in good company
  • Anyone who would like a friendly companion to share hobbies and trips

How it works
We start with a free, relaxed chat to learn about you: your interests, your routine and what you would enjoy. Together we agree how often we visit and how long for, whether that’s an hour a week or a few visits each week. We aim to introduce a regular companion you get on with, so a friendship can grow. If you want to try something different, or you’d like more or fewer visits, we simply adjust it.

Looking for something more? Companionship combines well with our home care, personal care and cleaning services, and a carer visiting for company can also help with meals and household tasks.
